Going Rogue On Planet Palin
This is pretty fucking cool. Our entire ideas about the nature of stars and planets may be changing as we watch. If the galaxy, and possibly the universe, is full of these free-floating sub-stellar mass bodies the way we picture our outer space is probably wrong. Planets without stars, just hanging out, not going in circles to suck up solar radiation may be norm. Does this mean our ideas of stellar and planetary formation are wrong or incomplete? Do all the rogue planets form as part of solar systems and then get ejected? Do they form out on the edges of solar systems and then wander off to get a pack of smokes or something? Regardless, we may be in for some interesting time in the ole cosmology game. Pretty fucking cool.
