Whitlock And Costas Are Right

It's pretty fucking simple: if Jovan Belcher didn't have the gun, two dead people would be alive today.  This is not about the Second Amendment; a lack of reading comprehension and willful misunderstanding on the part of most reactionary gun-nuts prevent any discussion of the Constitution.  Instead, this is about a violent, armed society that makes deadly violence far too easy with all the guns.  Whatever Belcher's problem turns out to have been, without the gun, his violence is not likely to have resulted in two deaths.  Until true strict constructionists pull their heads out of their asses and decide to follow the actual wording of the Second Amendment, the United States will carry on as the dumbest, most violent developed nation on earth.  We get what we deserve as a society.
