America's Culture Of Violence And Political Cowardice

Excellent essay here on America's vile and diseased culture, and how it is essentially societal suicide.  Other countries, apparently better countries, have had the political will to address the problem of gun violence directly.  Not here, though, not in America.  Obama will fail, the Congress will fail, mostly because that is what they want; nobody in the government is talking about real solutions.  Instead, we are getting bullshit about waiting periods and background checks and nothing at all about banning semi-automatic pistols and rifles or rescinding concealed carry laws.  Until we get some balls and get rid of the guns, we are just fucking ourselves.
