Caving On Susan Rice Is A Political Miscalculation

Obama fucked this one up, too.  The fight for Rice's appointment would have been great for the country, great for Democrats, and great fun.  A gaggle of bitter, reactionary crackers pissing on an African-American diplomat would have been a political winner.  Now Obama has tossed that away and did not even have the guts for a recess appointment.  Rice would have done a perfectly good job from Obama's point of view, the same job to maintain the American hegemony and empire that is a Secretary of State's role regardless of the officeholders skin color, and much more importantly would have been a hale and hearty political 'Fuck You' to all the racist, conservative dickwads out there on behalf of every candidate running for office against a Republican in 2014.
