Concussions Are Serious, Kids

Yes, this article was written by a freelancer and placed in the LA Times in order to increase the profile of Hayley Hodson's lawsuit against Stanford in the hopes Stanford will settle.  Stipulated.  So, yes, this story is far from comprehensive and exclusively from the perspective of Hayley Hodson--I have plenty of questions myself--but this woman had it all: elite athlete, free ride to Stanford, tall, blonde, beautiful.  But now, not so much.  Because of all the concussions she suffered.  She's still young and tall and blonde and beautiful, but life is not the same for her anymore; it's gotta be so much harder for her now.  Though I have no first-hand knowledge of Hodson's situation, I will never defend Stanford because I know they're scumbags, but that doesn't change what happens to some athletes out there working for 24/7/365 for their schooling.  Not everybody gets the prize.  For christ's sake, kids, be careful out there.
