This idiot and his shrimpy kids. 5'2" is not too big for an XS 26"-wheeled hardtail, unless he got them some weird little kids bikes, but that would be really fucking stupid and make him a fuckin--oh, yeah. Anywho, ass-huming he did the proper thing and got them XS Konas, they should be good till 5'5" or so, especially if one or both of them are girls. 5'2" at 12 is not tall at all, even for a girl, so he should wait till the kids grow a bit, get them size M hardtails in either wheel size, and then see if they get past the 5'10" or so that will require size L.
