Were There Ever Any Athletic, Racing-Style Rivendells At The Beginning? And Jesus, Jan Heine Actually Believed His Mommy When She Told Him He Was Very Handsome And Smart

That motherfucker Jan Heine is in love with the sound of his own voice, too, I bet.  Jesus.  Heine took a yuge scoop of Grant Petesen's shtick and mixed with a bit of Jobst Brandt and built himself a fiefdom.  Tedious.  Insufferable.  What do those words mean?  I'm sure his mother is almost as proud as he is.

Anywho, I guess the question is whether any of the very very first Rivendell Road frames were true athletic performance machines.  Heine's piece would tend to not endorse that possibility; that yellow Riv frame is sure no RB (Racing Bike) Riv.  Sad.  Lugged steel bikes are cool.  Racing-style road and mountain bikes are cool.  Bridgestone made killer production bikes there for a few years.  Grant Petersen shoulda been a fucking tycoon.
