Matt Gaetz is friendless in the GOP, and clearly multiple people are working to destroy him. This shit started when Trump was still in office, so the Republicans could have made it all go way as Barr was not exactly known for his commitment to law enforcement or human decency or basic sanity. The GOP could have stopped all of Gaetz's problems.
