It didn't take a fukkin' rocket surgeon to see that once the vaccine was available, speed was the key. Yes, poke the nursing home inmates the first day because they get sick easy and can't run away, but also everyone that works in a nursing home. And their families. Then the hospitals. Every recommended patient and every fucking person who worked there. And their families. Then the 65+. Then everybody. As fast as possible.
Any worrying about equity or inclusion needed to be settled before the vaccines were out TO MAXIMIZE THE SPEED WITH WHICH WE COULD ADMINISTER THE VACCINE. It's fun to heartbroken over BIPOC vaccine inclusion six months into the thing, but we're kinda fucking way the fuck behind.
As soon as the Feds had even an inkling that all that shelved research could fast-track a vaccine for the coronavirus, the Trump people should have ordered every fucking possible pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in the US to be ready to start producing vaccine and only vaccine 24/7 until there was enough supply to stick everyone in the fucking world.
And make vaccination mandatory. Or no job, no travel, no tax refund, no stimulus check, no shirt, no shoes, no service.
The way the United States has handled this whole thing is shameful and evil.
Christ, people are fucking stupid.
