rivendell atlantis

when this thing came out, it was something new: a well-designed, lugged touring and dirt road frame for the 21st century.  it remains a pretty nice bike to this day, though no longer the wicked deal it was back in the 90's.  the early pointy-lug version was a little nicer, but the color remains simple and plain and almost celeste.  the wide, flat crown is a beauty.  it's hard to find a picture on the internets of one that doesn't have stupid-high bars and other crap.  the ideal would be road bars, ergo, triple crank, wide range gears, fenders, no stupid racks but maybe generator hub and no bars way above the saddle.  the 700c wheeled sizes probably were the ticket.
