this is what's wrong with the daycare class of village idiot wannabees. marshall is part of the 'professional' 'left' in this country, influential for apparently no reason given his dimwitted analytical abilities on display in this piece. in the piece, marshall agrees that there's a bunch of stuff he doesn't know and will never know about the al-awlaki incident, but he is still willing to argue it's a perfectly acceptable thing for a united states president to murder or assassinate anyone who may or may not be doing something dangerous or may or may not be actively working against the interests of the united states. since it's totally okay that we will never know, the president can do whatever he wants whenever he wants according to marshall. this is not a liberal position in any way. marshall is eagerly awaiting fame and fortune as a fluffer of the establishment in washington, and i am sure he will gladly take his place at the trough of bullshit as soon as he gets the approving pat on the head from the current village idiots. he is never to be trusted on anything of import. once again he's shown that he's nothing but a careerist dipshit.
marshall also proudly whipped out his idiocy with regards to the future of nuclear power in light of the fukushima incident in japan. marshall is not a critical thinker, or really, a thinker at all. he has proven that he is more than happy to regurgitate conventional wisdom and washington establishment bullshit in order to ingratiate himself with the power structure and line his own pockets now and in the future. talking points memo is one of the largest, most influential 'liberal' democratic news and opinion mills on the internets. understanding the truth about marshall shows it should not be trusted at all. ever.
I was just looking for a link to Marshall's idiocy about this topic, and wondering how I would use google-fu to find it. On a hunch, I searched for "Josh Marshall is an idiot" and this was the fifth link down. And you know, five years later, he's still a fucking idiot. Plus, he was in favor of the Iraq invasion.
ReplyDeleteyeah, marshall is a piece of work. years ago so many folks hoped their peers would be better than a david broder, better than a typical clueless washington fuck, but what they failed to see was that these people were merely the washington establishment village idiots in training, striving for that sinecure as a happy idiot cog on the machine.
