bye bye billy

obama is either a man of unbelievably bad judgement or such astounding political cowardice, i'm not sure which is worse.  first choice was the worst possible and the next an embarassing failure with the chief of staff being one of the most important political and governing decisions a president can make absolutely on his or her own.  maybe the new guy will do better.  a couple of fun recess appointments do not make up for all the fuckups petty and grand that have crippled the progress much of america believed that obama was promising in 2008.
