as seen on atrios, japan's 'lost decade' is totally bullshit.  due mostly to their political and economic priorities, japan's society, economy and infrastructure have not collapsed during times of less-than-boom-town economic growth.  here in the states, we have widespread suffering and economic deterioration in the society because our oligarchs are fucking incompetent morons.
