Can't be a coincidence, can it? I mean, Vigeland comes from a wealthy, or at least upper-class, which means wealthy by any reasonable measure, Republican family and was a huge simp for Liz 'The Snake' Warren for months after it was apparent that Warren's only mission in the 2020 Primary was to make sure Bernie Sanders did not get the nomination.
I mean, he had Matt Binder, Old Matt, filling in for a couple of months on Thursdays before this NBC gig got going, but Matt Binder is not a center-right establishment Dem like Emma Vigeland and is certainly not a youngish woman.
Matt Binder will also not be a GOP spokesperson by 2028, either, the way Vigleand surely will. Unless he gets very lucky and gives up every fucking one of his principles.
(Let's assume Automattleck is going to continue to pursue the Michael Brooks Show line with David Griscom, so both of those dudes were never in contention. But Brandon Sutton would have been a fun choice; he's probably not heartlandishly hued enough for the NBC folks, tho.)
Then there was, and is, Jamie Peck, but Jamie is not ready for NBC, not by a long shot. That's a compliment.
Sam Seder should not make Jimmy Dore's job so fucking easy...
