wild cards

the new wild card thing could be a good thing in baseball.  those 1-game playoffs are going to be a nightmare.  winning the division is gonna be a hell of a lot more important now, and that should make it a little more interesting in at least a few of the divisions during the last weeks.  so, not bad.  people are scared of change, but unless they go all the way back to pennant and world series only--and of course they never will--this should liven it up a bit.
