What Can You Say About Someone Who Puts Dr. Who and Battlestar Galactica as Some of the Best TV Ever?
The words fucking dipshit come to mind. I liked some of the first Battlestar Galactica episodes, but the show blew donkey dick long before the botched abortion that was the series finale. The reanimated Dr. Who has had some entertaining episodes, especially the Eccleston Doctor and the Tennant/Moffat ones, but much of the rest was just pointless. I guess this level of analysis and judgement is the best you can hope for from the dimmer bulbs of bottom-quintile welfare academia.

Thanks! Your profanity has convinced me of the error of my ways far better than any argument you could've mustered would have. I'll keep this in mind before posting free content designed to create congenial conversations in the Internet again.

DeleteYou didn't say anything, is my point. I value dissenting opinions, as that thread makes abundantly clear, but if you'd rather score cheap points to no one in particular on the Internet, you're welcome to do so. It's just odd that you're complaining about a lack of engagement while behaving in a manner that precludes anyone from wanting to engage with you.
DeleteIn fact, I did say that BG was okay at the start, but an inexcusable lack of vision and planning turned it into a wreck long before the finale. The entire Final Five Cylon idea, which fucked up the second half of the show--two seasons!--pretty much destroyed the characterization and back story for the some of the most interesting characters. That's just the most obvious problem. The fun of it was the military fetishism, but RDM had only one song in him, and he kept right on going. Don't know where he got the inspiration or how he wrote the words. But it was lame.
DeleteThe DW resurrection was basically a cute stunt. Eccleston was interesting as the U-boat captain Doctor, but Tennant was threadbare by the time he bailed, and the show is just tired now. I'm not a Billy Piper fan, but she was pretty okay considering, and many of the other support players/companions did a nice a job--Mickey the Idiot--but watching most of 'em a second time proves that almost no there there.
All this was stated a bunch of times before by me. It's not about scoring points or engagement; this is not a test, but it is also not an ask.
