The Disappointing 2020 Intense Primer

And not because it is plastic.  Intense hasn't been a manufacturer in a while now.  And not because it is VPP crap.  And not because it is available with 700C wheels--the yellow 29er is the best looking.  Or that dumb mullet.  Nope, this is a new bike for Intense this year, and holy shit, it is not good.  The geometry is not only not class-leading, it's barely keeping up, and the standover height is around FOUR INCHES higher than comparable bikes and that necessitates short droppers.  Jesus.  Add to that the overstretched 150 mm Fox 34, even on the $7000 version, and you have a fucking disaster.  It's been 20 fucking years since Intense was the best bike you could buy.  Sad.
