Sometimes being a crank is a good thing and being a libertarian boy is useful. Greenwald is surely correct when he says the bagger riot/insurrection/MAGA coup attempt will be used to attack civil rights FOR EVERYONE and crush free speech going forward. That's the nature of ultra-conservative government and political establishment. (And, yes, if the Dems were a true opposition party, even a centrist one, instead of being complicit, a second hard-right conservative party, they would oppose this shit instead of advocating for it.) This is yet another failing of the "left" in the Democratic Party and in the US in general. And it's why Greenwald speaking out is very useful.
