krugman's lost decade

krugman's analysis of job growth and future (un)employment standards has been getting lots of attention because the point is both so important and so disheartening.  if the scenario krugman describes plays out, this will be what a truly lost decade looks like, without the safety net that protects the standards of living in more advanced countries.  it's gonna be wicked hard to find enough people to buy your crappy, overpriced, no-name chinese carbon bike shit if shitloads of those people haven't had a decent-paying middle-class job in at least a generation.
