Kinda Sad From The Pullitsher Folks: Elizabeth Bruenig's Kind Of An Airhead

I'm sure she's very nice, but Bruenig is an odd, shallow writer who knows so very little about the world, as anyone reading her stuff can see, or should be able to see, and getting a Pulitzer, or not getting it in her case but being a finalist, is definitely an establishment bootlicker honor right up there with a Tiger Woods Medal of Freedom.  Plus, Bruenig got a shout out from the boy most desperate to please, Dave Weigel.  Nothing in a capitalist society is rewarded more than anodyne mediocrity.  Such is life in the big city.
