This is very interesting, especially the last third. The thing both guys missed, I think, is that Trump's own vulgar incompetence made all this possible. Justice and the FBI thought they could go after a president not simply because he represented a threat to their preferred policies but also because Trump himself had spent a lifetime turning himself into a tawdry clown show and was working doubletime on that project once he got elected.
