occupy a blanket on wall street in the cold

the lovely and talented lee papa, aka rudepundit, has a wonderful idea about giving blankets and supplies to occupiers around the country.  this is a cool deal, and also could actually help raise awareness about chronic homelessness in some of our frostier cities and towns.  no one is saying donate a blanket or coat or fifth of jack to a scuzzy, america-hating hippie instead of the local food pantries and shelters, but maybe just maybe seeing those brave culture warriors out there in new york and boston and chicago will remind some of us dipshits about the other people out there in the cold and encourage some of us to donate blankets or coats or kid's clothes to local homeless outreach groups as well.  yay.
