Rivendell Frames In 2020: I Understand Nothing On This Page

What the actual f?  I know 1994 is a long time ago, but what the hell happened in that quarter of a century?  The original Riv frames, especially the Road and Atlantis, were so wicked neat, but these are just atrocious.  I don't understand a freaking thing on that page.  There's nothing there I'd buy in a million years.  The Atlantis is now an abortion, and there isn't even a nice 650B road frame after Grant Petersen worked hard to make that whole thing popular again.  Jeez.  But a Chris Kvale from 1999 is pretty similar to a Chris Kvale frame 20+ years later, and both are great.  Rivendell is not for me anymore, I guess.
