Hamilton Nolan Almost Gets It, Atmo

But at least he sees for himself why the rock-ribbed Dem establishment was so freaked out about Sanders this year.  Because Sanders would have romped in the general, his unbelievable strength against a feckless Hillary was a gods-damned nightmare for the party.  The conservative establishment Dems were shitting themselves about losing control of a Sanders-led, centrist Dem party.  But Nolan's dead wrong about Sanders being any kind of socialist beyond how every government official is a socialist.  The college tuition and financial regulation and minimum wage and energy policy and shit Sanders championed were all just obvious, centrist, common-sense policies any stable industrialized nation would embrace.  But not here.  The Dems never wanted that.  Plus they picked Hillary the day of Obama's reelection victory.  He's also wildly, hilariously wrong about Clinton being "mostly ok".  That's fucking disgusting, but as it is the prevailing position of ignorant, self-important establishment media village idiot millionaires everywhere, it is perfectly understandable that Nolan would ape it without much consideration.  In the end, Nolan misses the bigger points, but he sees some of the smaller ones.  Not bad.  Getting better.
