(Willfully?) Missing The Point About Steel Panther

I'm pretty sure that the point of Steel Panther, whether the guys in Steel Panther know it or not, is that the music is shitty.  Sure, their act is mostly really stupid and can be incredibly offensive, but the Steel Panther guys are just doing whatever it takes to collect a check in the music industry.  The point the band makes, though, is that the music is pretty awful and a little Steel Panther, or any inane hair metal, goes are wicked fucking long way.  To get too worked up about it is missing the point.  Willfully missing the point means you are an asshole doing whatever it takes to collect a check in the entertainment journalism industry.  Missing it the normal way means you're an idiot.
