I guess Cole-bert has Trump to thank for the all the attention. And now Colbert is a man for his time. It also probably helps that
Jimmy Fallon has been execrable during his entire career, so it's not such a big deal for Colbert to beat the irredeemably awful and unwatchable Fallon.
