cockburn. he doesn't have a day job. this is his gig. he's a leftist. do you think obama's ever heard of this guy?
it's a good
start.
if she runs hard against brown, she could really bring some center-left
ideas to the fore, not just in her campaign, but the nation as a
whole. go get 'em.
aspirant to the office of fluffer-in-chief (internet district) scott
lemieux bravely cites only political science texts supporting his
position, contends he's only being reasonable, says evan bayh was a
stalwart man of principle who could not be bought for a pittance or even
appeal to his pathetic vanity, and shut-up! as i commented:
one thing the apologist axis pretends not to understand is the
shallow vanity of the people involved. evan bayh? what leverage could
obama have had over such a piece of human filth? certainly bayh and
politicians like him have been rock-ribbed defenders of principle
throughout history and could never be pressured on anything. yeah,
that’s it.
his 9/11 piece should be an intelligence test, and anybody who fails
just goes out to pasture to masturbate and fling poop with george w.
bush in texas.
john amato gleefully jumps right in and throws some props to
digby
along the way. it's well worth it to read amato's rant and follow
through to digby's; these are good days because the lines are turning
into fractures, and that will only help in the coming struggle in
america.
krugman's excellent professional journey would be a great subject for a
book, but suffice it to say that right now krugman is at the height of
his unique power to separate the thinkers from the vast majority of vile
dopes across the far-too-narrow political spectrum in this nation. of
course, he's no leftist, but he is intelligent and brave enough to use
his forum to maximum benefit.
the son of hullabaloo
pisses in the punch of the o'donnell/chait/lemieux/cole/gandy/et al.
axis of pathetic obama apologists with his list of just a few possible
things obama could have done to move the country forward if he hadn't
been a hopeless corporate stooge all along.
they may be professionals, but whether it's krugman or katrina vanden
heuvel or bloggers like daily kos or talking points memo, these people
are not at all to the 'left' of anything. krugman et al. are certainly
more liberal or leftist than obama or bill clinton, but that does not
make them anything more than solid, boring centrists. when obama pissed
on the professional left, he was really talking about the professional
center only because the establishment media are surely right wing.
as state after red stupid state does their best to make sure that only
the richest, most republican women will have access to reproductive
health care and abortion,
where are the candidates running on strong, unapologetic pro-choice
positions? especially for democratic candidates who might be running as
underdogs and having a hard time getting traction and publicity, this
loud, proud affirmation of the rights of women would be a good thing for
everyone and after long enough, a guaranteed winner.
