after the debate tonight, i still think mittens needs bachmann to slice
perry's balls off with the southern, evangelical, insane, racist,
teabagger assholes who will decide the southern primaries for the
repubs. romney needs bachmann to be that attack dog and chew on perry's
manhood while the idiots watch and also to be the decent jeebus-blowing
christian that a vile heathen can never be, so it's gonna be
romney/bachmann defeating obama/biden next year.
when
richard sachs got
his nagasawa frame, there was talk on the intertube webs that his frame
was a special show bike with extra hand work and shit. at the time,
always cranky american framebuilder
bruce gordon
spoke up against the tide and said that the nagasawa frame in question
was nothing special construction-wise, and that it could not compare
with the finest modern american bespoke lugged steel frames. anyway,
this is sachs's frame. the dolphin-grey would not have been my choice.
update: i wonder if this frame has ever been ridden? nagasawa road
frames are so rare and apparently unavailable in the united states now.
if this is a step-up in filing and finishing from that
purple metallic
nagasawa road frame, it would be so very interesting to see them side
by side. pictures just don't cut it. i wonder how the dolphin grey
looks in person in the sunshine? it seems the color may have been
chosen to highlight the lugwork. did mr. sachs pick it or mr.
nagasawa? woolgathering...
this beautiful purple nagasawa, as pictured on the yellow jersey
website, is one of the nicest looking road frames ever. i can't get
enough of that light purple metallic. is it the nicest nagasawa road
ever? probably not; i think richard sachs
supposedly has a special show-built road frame with extra filing and
stuff, but this purple bike was built for a regular customer and painted
in a wicked awesome color, so it's the best. nagasawas are almost
impossible to get in the united states anymore; mr. nagasawa has been
building with his son these days according to the internets, so seeing
many more nagasawa road frames around these parts is prolly not gonna
happen.
it was good to see at least someone on the tee vee talking about the nuclear industry. ge must be a little twitchy about now.
i used think the most embarrassing thing about gibson guitars was that evan dando played 'em. now their asshole ceo is all over fox news and right-wing radio bitching about the evil gubermint. idiots.
paul krugman
really got under the skin of donald rumsfeld and tons of other
miserable bastards with his little missive against the exploitation of
9/11/2001 by villains like george bush and rudy giuliani and bernie
kerik and
fools
of all stripes. thank the gods for krugman, who moved from the
neoliberal, laissez-faire wilderness to the solid economic and political
center, which in this country makes him fucking trotsky.
it looks like rick perry is even dumber than everybody thought; he's
showing that he not only doesn't know what a ponzi scheme is, he doesn't
know how to run a national campaign either. so, does this mean mittens
doesn't need bachmann to slice perry's balls off with the born-again
teabagging christian bigots? will social security checks and medicare
scooters do what romney couldn't do on his own, leaving bachmann out in
the cold? now that pawlenty is on-board, romney may be hoping that
perry cripples himself so he won't have to turn to that harpy to save
his bacon with the morons who vote in republican primaries.
i mean, we have some half-way intelligent people in this country, but to
a person they spend their working hour as critics instead of policy
makers. at some point won't the great unwashed demand someone who is
competent in public service? probably not.
if you were going to listen to either paul krugman or this fucking idiot
on economics, foreign policy, horror movies, pizza toppings, which one
would you pick? i mean krugman's really smart and the other guy
believes in austrian economics, which is even more embarrassing than
believing in astrology or jeebus.
pretty good in january of 2009, but it's a little late now! it was nice
to see the wingnuts all flippy over the teeny tiny tax increases on the
wealthiest americans, though. that obama coulda' really made this
country a better place a couple of years ago even his his policy
victories were smaller than we would have liked. as of now, he's
looking to get in the game halfway through the 4th quarter.
