Just For Fun: PZ (Party Zone) Meyers On Health Care

PZ Meyers has a nice rant on the current state of healthcare in the US from earlier this year.  Some idiots will choose to think that Obama has helped this with his insurance support plan, but I see it as the opposite.  Obama lost a great opportunity to push a useful agenda.  Unfortunately, it was a useful agenda he did not believe in; he was never in favor of doing anything that would harm the insurance industry, whether that be in the form of a public option, single payer, or National Health.  It was not that they were politically impossible, difficult, annoying or anything else; Obama wanted nothing to do with any of them and was not going to work on the politics to further a goal he did not want, so we as a nation made not the smallest step toward real, civilized health care; those small steps could have been made even if the completed goal was not achieved at once.  Instead, like that fat fuck and his disingenuous wife in the 1990's, Obama was only going to support actions that enriched the insurance companies, so he failed us all.
