Livin' In The Land Of De Valera

Ireland is not exactly a robust society.  The economy, even at its most over-active, was very fragile, and in the aftermath of the crash, austerity is destroying the foundations of civilization just as effectively as another great famine.  When the world economy finally recovers from the recession followed by the austerity, the Irish will be left behind in a barely civilized, barely first-world nation.
