Hugo Chavez, Si!

If President Chavez is indeed dying, he will be missed by the vast majority of the people in Venezuela.  Despite what the idiots in the United States say, Chavez has made life much better for the poor people of his country.  Chavez had the courage to use the money from oil to improve the standard of living for the common citizens.  That is quite a unique decision in the world, where the wealth of the state is normally used to primarily enrich the ruling class.  Venezuela is a model for the world, and though the U.S. is an enemy, the political and economic power of China and Russia should help Venezuela thrive without Chavez in the Miraflores.  The people will need to continue to fight the reactionary forces and the machinations of the United States, and, without the charismatic Chavez, the fight will be more difficult.  It is not easy to be optimistic, but the oil isn't going anywhere, so Venezuela will remain an important world energy hub for many years.  With a strong and organized population and the support of wealthy nations like China, Venezuela has a chance of furthering Chavez's revolution.
