Occupy The Mekons?

The Occupy Movement is to what's next as the Clash is to the Mekons?  Will Occupy be the seed for something greater the way the Clash paved the way for the transcendent Mekons?  That is a great thought, but I'm not sure I believe it.  Occupy crashed, and I'm not the most hopeful of people, but the Mekons.  Steven Sherman has hope that the Occupy Movement is like punk, flowering into the sublime glory of all the stupendously creative music that came after, whether it's No Wave or Alt.country or everything in between.  I'll believe it when I see it.
