Is Manti Te'o's NFL Future Deader Than His Imaginary Girlfriend?

There's no way, no fucking way, that Te'o and his family were not in on this bullshit.  If somehow they were duped, then this kid is a fucking retard.  Reading the Deadspin piece, it was clear that Te'o and his father actively lied about things like phone calls and meetings, and that makes the whole victim and hoax story pretty  much impossible.  So what was the goal?  Crank up the hype machine to help his Heisman longshot and ND's revenue?  Here's one writer who thinks the Heisman was the goal.  That's a pretty Byzantine scheme to gin up some Heisman votes, and it didn't really work since dipshit didn't win.  But now, has this idiot killed his NFL chances?  How far down will he go, now?  Or will the story continue to bubble and cost him big time?  What team would want to take on someone who is such a dimwit creep?  And how much worse will he look after this story is finally spent?  His on-field performance against Alabama was laughable, and now it seems like he's some sort of psycho.  We'll see what happens in the draft, I guess.  I can see this idiot Tebowing himself right out of the league pretty quickly regardless.  One thing is clear: Te'o fits right in with the vile Notre Dame athletic culture.  As far as we know, Te'o didn't assault anyone, but the appalling dysfunction of what passes for morals at ND is just as much on display for fake dead girls as it is for real dead girls.  Manti Te'o gets the full support of the ND athletic machine; Lizzy Seeberg was destroyed by it.
